How It Works:

By repelling water from the surface, Decking & Timber Sealer helps keep the wood dry, which makes it less prone to algae and mould growth – common causes of slippery decking. Its deep-penetrating formula also helps protect against cracking, splitting, and weathering, helping your deck last longer with less maintenance.

How to Apply:

1. Preparation is key! Make sure the decking is completely dry and clean, free from dust, dirt, oil, grease, algae, or mould.

2. If there’s any previous sealer or coating, it must be removed fully before applying Decking & Timber Sealer.

3. Treat algae and moss with a specialist algicide, rinse thoroughly, and allow to dry completely.

4. Use a pressure washer to clean into grooves and remove ground-in grime.

5. Shake the container well before use.

Application:

• Apply a generous, even coat using a low-pressure sprayer, brush, or long-pile roller.

• Do not pour directly onto the surface.

• For older or more porous wood, once the first coat starts to absorb (within 30 minutes), apply a second wet coat.

• Remove any puddles or excess product with a cloth or leaf blower to avoid uneven drying or stickiness.

• Allow the surface to dry for at least 24 hours before use.

Coverage (approximate):

• New decking and timber 4–6m² per litre

• Older decking and timber: 2–4m² per litre (due to increased absorption)
